How to install SPIP

You will get SPIP in a packed archive (like tar.gz or .tgz or .zip). After unpacking the archive to a directory of your choice all you have to do is setting a link to the spip.pl file or adding this directory to the $PATH. The components of SPIP are:

• spip.pl - the program to call.
• templates/ - a directory with templates containig the following files:
  • spip_contents.tmpl - a template for the contents page.
  • spip_css.tmpl - a template for the css file.
  • spip_feet.tmpl - template for the page feet.
  • spip_head.tmpl - a template for the page head.
  • spip_nav.tmpl - a template for the navigation area of the page.
  • spip_sheet.tmpl - a template for one sheet.
  • spip_title.tmpl - a template for the title page.
